The POV switching was very seamless from chapter to chapter and within the same chapter, both narrators voice the back and forth dialogue. LOL Seriously Instant Gratification is classic Lauren Blakely, funny, sexy and satisfying.Īndi Arndt (Truly) and Shane East (Jason) narrates the bulk of Instant Gratification. I really enjoyed Instant Gratification but I wasn’t sure if I was going to like Truly and Jason because of their hate of bacon, but then she redeemed herself with her pancake song. One thing leads to another and they are falling in love and figuring out how they can balance a relationship with their workaholic personalities. This deal puts them together more than they already are and in some sexy situations. Truly offers to help Jason out with the weddings since he is helping her scout English pubs to get ideas for her purposal for the new pub she wants to open. Jason has a few more weddings to get through before he wraps up his time in the wedding world, but most weddings require he has a date and his actress friend has to beg off because she got a role in a play and doesn’t have the time to help Jason anymore. Like Truly, Jason wants to expand his business but first, he needs to continue the best man side job to pay for his sister’s medical schooling. People who need a best man for their wedding hire him to play the part and write incredible best man speech. Jason’s other job is as a Best Man for Hire. Jason works two jobs, one as The Modern Gentleman Of New York he writes a blog and guest stars on a radio show ran by Ryder Lockheart from The Knocked up Plan. She asks Jason for his help his he is an Englishman. Truly is a bar owner and is working on opening another bar, an English pub. Of course, that doesn’t keep either of them from thinking about it and it doesn’t kill the attraction.
They had a wild night of great sex but agreed it couldn’t happen again.
They let that attraction get the better of them about six months before this story started. They have a chemistry and attraction that can’t happen or so they think. Truly is the sister of Malone (SG) and Jason is his best friend. We first met them in Satisfaction Guaranteed (SG). Instant Gratification focuses on Truly Goodman and Jason Reynolds.
